I drained the the engine oil today to do an oil change and found an oil leak. Oil cascading down onto the starter. Driver's side of engine is dry. I almost pissed myself at first as I though it was the main real seal because oil was dripping down the cover between the trans and motor.
Where the heck is all this oil coming from? I changed the valve cover gaskets and oil lines across the valley some years ago with viton seals. HPFP too.
Can't really discern from your pictures where oil leak originates.
My standard reply is "It's a Ford, if she ain't leaking, she's out of oil!". This applies mostly to trucks that have been "Rode hard and put up wet" like mine. I have been known to work the crap out of my truck when needed!
Of course best to definitely identify source, but if less than 1 quart loss per oil change, no cross contamination of oil, fuel, and/or antifreeze, accept it - she's a Ford!

...but it's leaking onto the hot up pipe. I don't want a fire.
The valley has a drain hole that exits on the rear passenger side. Topside leaks look like a main seal but rarely is. Make sure your valley is dry before trying to find things down lower.
What does this mean? 2002/2016 "hybrid" F350 XLT 7.3l
What is this?
Looks like some sort of filter. Is this some sort of aftermarket part? Sorry but your images suck!

No that's the original up pipes and heat shield covered in oil.

I'm gonna climb to there tomorrow and check. Thanks Mr
My deluge was an HPOP oring. I had a minor leak at the turbo pedestal, and at a HPx oring (HPx since removed). HPOP hoses and fittings are also a possibility.
