My original post got screwed up somehow. '01 F550 with over 10k hours on the original engine and 125k on the odometer. Odometer doesn't work so not sure how many miles are on it. Had an aerial bucket on it for most of its life and was removed before we bought it. Was used as a service truck until we replaced it with a newer truck. Decided to rebuild this one and put a flatbed on it and make it our tow beast. 400 hp is the goal and trans rebuild is needed anyway along with full engine rebuild. 180/30 injectors along with KC turbo 68/73 with .84 housing, reg return w/ bowl delete, CNC fab hpop, new water pump with integrated coolant filter which I think is pretty cool, Colt cams stage 2 cam, new lifters, Comp cams valve springs and .138 pushrods. Heads will be mildly ported. Hydra chip. And some other things to make it better.

Well I've already got the stage 1. They said it'll work with those injectors.
Gotchya, just figured I would toss the idea in the ring. Maybe it was just the transmission stuff you hadn’t ordered yet? I wasn’t sure if you meant that or all the stuff.
It will work well, the stage 2 would just give a little extra flow if you decided to get rowdy with race tunes, but then again it is a f550 so rowdiness prolly wont be an often occurrence.

True, but it would be a good candidate for a sleeper. Lol a sleeper F550 just sounds funny.
Blowing away other “fast trucks” in a F550 would be really fun!
Sure would! 4.88 gears will keep it limited on the highway lol but great for street territory. 😆 Might be hard explaining to the old man why it can't keep rear rubber on it. 4 of these tires ain't cheap!
Are you putting oem forged rods in it? I would probably do the same thing since you have the engine apart. Not a necessity for the power levels you’re at but not a bad “while I’m in there” issue to address.

Under quick reply look at the top row of letters and symbols.
Next to the smiley face is what looks like a stamp with mountain peaks.

Easy once you get it a few under your belt
