Bronco Raptor FTE Reviews (UPDATED!)

UPDATED (8/30) Okay, folks, finished up my Bronco Raptor review coverage today across three more posts and two videos. And I'll add a few more pics below.

PREVIOUS (8/17)

Hey, Folks! Ford just sent over the new Bronco Raptor for Ford Truck Enthusiasts to review this week. I'll be heading to the desert/mountains on Friday to do some trail running and such, but here's a quick video tour I made right after it was delivered -- https://www.ford-trucks.com/articles...o-raptor-tour/

First Impressions
  • Looks badass. It's much wider in person than in pictures. the fender flares look almost twice as wide as the Sasquatch
  • Interior looks very much like the F-150 Raptor 37 (Review here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/articles...tor-37-review/)
  • But the Recaro front seats aren't cooled like they are in the F-150
  • The 3.0L EcoBoost from the Explore ST feels a little underpowered with 37" tires and 5,700+ lbs of curb weight off the line, but at speed, it's peppy and sounds okay when accelerating under load
  • At this price, I wish Ford had used the 3.5L EcoBoost (or one of their two V8s -- Coyote or Godzilla)
  • It's less smooth on the highway versus the longer/heavier F-150 Raptor, with more interior noise
  • Sound system is pretty good for this era Bronco, but, again, not as good as the F-150.
  • So far it's a lot of fun, but after reviewing the Base Sasquatch for mid $40s -- https://www.ford-trucks.com/articles...quatch-review/ -- i can't say the Raptor is worth double the price.

It looks ridiculous. Too wide.

Updated the OP with new links, videos, and photos.

TJ, it's funny, my 6yo calls it a "Bronco Jeep".

It is a very special vehicle, that's for sure! On the price being high, your "as tested" vehicle had some expensive and I think unnecessary options, in my view:
1) Interior carbon fiber pack - 1725
2) Raptor graphic - 1025
3) Lux package - 2695

Maybe more still? Base model comes with plenty of adequate options IMO at 10k lower sticker price.

Good eye! Here are all the options on this one, per the spec sheet Ford gave me during the loan (2022MY pricing) --
  • Equipment Group 374A (Lux Package) - $2,695
  • Raptor Graphic - $1,075
  • Keyless Entry KeyPad - $110
  • 17' Blk Frgd Beadlock CPBL WHL - $1,995
  • Interior Carbon Fiber Pack - $1,725
  • Leather-Trim / Suede Seats - $2,995
UPDATED TO ADD -- yeah a no option or lightly-optioned B'Raptor would be much more palatable from a value perspective

I can't place the value on any of these. I really liked the keypad on my F150 so I could lock the keys in it, but the new locks don't even allow you to lock one inside, I think. Pretty sure I will order complete base with the exception of the rear door shelf. Good for washing the dog.
