ZF Tranny Swap
ZF-S542 Transmission swap. I am looking to swap out my 1970s old 4 speed to a ZF and was wondering if they made one with an external slave cylinder for the small block windsor bell housing. Also how long did they run with the gear drive that will work with my old speedo?

Cable-drive speedometer went away in the 92 models, maybe the 92 transmissions still have provisions for it, but your best bet is 91 and older.
No external slave option for small-block ZFs I'm afraid. Do you have a specific reason you need one?
