Does anyone have a diagram or troubleshooting chart for this switch? I have a 65 F250 4x4 and the wire colors do not seem to match the 65 wiring diagram I have found online. I just want to be able to ohm the switch and determine if it is the switch that is bad or possible corroded wiring connections. I had right side turns signals last week, now when I hit the right signal just the front right indicator comes on, but does not flash. Thanks
A cursory search under the dash looks like I have 3 different connections from the TSS. That photo shows 2. Mine appears to have 2 3 wire to 3 wire junctions and a 1-1 junction.
No matter the connector count do the wire colors match up. IMO the problem is more than likely the TSS. I assume your wheel is off. Try powering the system in each position and pushing down on the switch and see if things change.
I was going to pull the wheel in the morning. Just checked it out this evening. I had issues with my wiper switch and I was able to disassemble and get working. I am hoping to do the same with the TSS>
Looks like you have this. I believe particular to 4x4 and the four spoke wheel. Horn contact geometry is different. Look for 4x4 wiring diagram if need be. Though colors might be same as noted. New TSS of this style is rare. Not reproduced. Be careful with it.
Mine were stuck, I used a hair dryer to heat them up and was able to get them apart without breaking anything. I checked them at the connectors and the left side is not working. All the lights work when the switch is pulled out completely. I will examine the switch, but I think I will probably have to track one down. Any idea how to remove the horn button on the 4wd 18" wheel? It just spins left when I push it down and turn ccw
I tried and tried but ended up breaking the horn button. I could not get it out at all, I hope I can find a replacement. Imagine how shocked I was to find several mud dauber nests, acorns and a family of dead yellow jackets beside my TSS. I used a shop vac to clean it out then hit the switch with some contact cleaner and worked it back and forth a few times. Bingo!! I now have functioning blinkers on both sides. I think I will use this cleaner on all the dash connections.
