New build escaping Iowa to Florida
I’m hoping to get some feedback about the likely weather conditions in Iowa, specifically Granger, where my new truck will be delivered. I’m thinking of having my son in law drive it from there to central Florida in late January or early February. It’s a F250 4x4 FWIW.Not having ever been up yonder, I have no clue what the weather conditions are likely to be and what kind of impacts it may have on the drive. FWIW he has a CDL and fair amount of experience with big rig hauling of petroleum in Ohio, and hasn’t expressed much concern when we brought up this proposition - he’s actually looking forward to a change of pace.
Another concern I have is the effect of salted/brined roads along the way on my brand new truck!
Any regional words of wisdom would be truly appreciated.
