1937 1-1/2 Ton. Manuals, Info

I picked up these two twin beauties a few years ago and now ready to get to work. I have the owners manual but looking for some type of repair books for chassis, brakes, etc., like what Chilton's used to publish, have had no luck. Flathead engine books and light duty books are everywhere but not much for 1-1/2 tons. I am hoping to get one complete out of the two, keeping patina and using as much original type parts. Any knowledge info or where to find manuals is appreciated.

You want to pick up a copy of the Ford Service Bulletins, available from several vendors or occasionally from used book places. I recommend two copies, both the 1932-1937 and the 1938-1940 versions. Occasionally Ford added updated information applicable to the earlier vehicles in the later bulletins.
You should also find a copy of the parts catalog. Again, two copies are probably best, the closest you can find to a 1937 publish catalog, and the 28-48 "Green Book" first published in 1950.
Lastly, I recommend joining the Early Ford V8 Club if you haven't already. National membership gains you access to advisors. There may also be a local chapter near you with like minded members who can assist you with your questions.

Art,
More ton and a half truck coming out. Or at least I am noticing them more.
You have a couple good starting points with those.. Is the plan to make one truck or a pair?
Welcome to the forum.

Chris
