Bend over, lube up if purchasing anything from Ford (new) these days. Dirty basturds lose money in most of the operating regions globally, then gouge us in North American (135% of corporate profits) so we can subsidize buyers elsewhere (e.g. China, Europe, etc).
My dealer is marking up vehicles it has in stock or ordered for their inventory. However I can order one and there is no mark up and any and all discounts apply. Also no deposit wit right of refusal, they will then add it to inventory with a Dealer Upcharge.

Yes it helps them keep cost down right now. Of course low mileage used vehicles are outrageous right now. That's also part of the reason for new vehicle mark-ups, to make those used vehicles more attractive. My 2018 Lariat only has 19,463 miles on it and I can get more than I payed for it new. Of course I have been trading with my dealer for a great many years, now I have all my maintenance preformed there so It will self prove how well I take care of my vehicles. I also get a very large discount on the purchase price of my vehicles.
