hi everyone i have a f-150 1995 5.0 xlt 4x4 133 wb manual transmision. i would like to know what is involved in changing the oil pan. if anyone can explain to me what i have to do and some tips and tricks i would greatly appreciate it.
thanks again
More than likely unbolting the motor mounts and raising the engine will have to be done . I assume either the oil pan gasket is leaking or the pan is rusted ? Proper torque is important when reinstalling along with an organized torque sequence .

yes paul believe it or not the oil pan has a hole in it. the pan is rotted and the truck is only 5 years old. i live in ny and the previous owner must have done a lot of highway miles. the truck has 113,000 miles on it.oh well iam going to try to find an oil pan today and try to replace it . thanks
I replaced the oil pan in my 1991 F150. I had to raise the engine about 3 inches so I could get the pan out and over the cross beam under it. Plan on spending a few hours under the truck.
Yeah , its the friggin road salt . It must be the type of metal Ford used in the oil pans that make them really susceptble to road salt ? What you might want to do before next winter is coat the oil pan with grease to help keep the effects of the road salt to a minimum .
