Dent Side F-Series trucks have been featured in many classic movies, television programs and commercials over the years.
Here's my favorite: from Bud & Sissy's wedding scene in Urban Cowboy. Is that Wes's Chebby in the background?
Post your favorite movie, tv or advert here.
Hey Rich, Yup I noticed the 2012 thread when looking for other movie trucks.
The 2008 thread has 15 pages but very few photos til toward the end.
The last one (2010 post) I missed...but checking it out now...
Lots of good memories from those old movie scenes
If there is a pre-teen girl in your family, "Dreamer" is a great, uplifting movie for her. Kurt Russell drives a '77 (I think) F250 Supercab in the movie. He also has a dentside in the movie "Backdraft." Here is the trailer for Dreamer:
Hey Vabow, That green wrecker looks Tough as Nails. Nice to hear its still rollin'
Your dad's '89 makes me yearn for my '89 F-250 4x4. Regular cab, LWB w/302auto. Cabernet w/ tan cloth int. I brought it home new from Sunrise Ford in Tujunga, CA
I drove that truck everywhere for 10 years before the VA Hospital van pulled out in front of me one morning -- which I t-boned --with all my kids on board. (on our way to school)
I'll have to search my old photographs for pix of that truck, because those days were still my pre-technology era. Wait: I might have had a beeper.
Back to the topic, here's a WAY cool truck, mentioned by NorthwestX360, and in another thread, but I found this pic to post.
Lt. Stephen "Bull" McCaffrey's blue plow truck in the movie Backdraft.
Redroad - read an article once that said they bought the truck from a used car lot, used it for the movie as is, busted/repaired a couple of shocks. When the shooting was done it ran fine. They sold it back to the same lot.... wouldn't it be cool to find you inadvertently bought a movie icon like that! You could fill a pretty long post just with movie icon cars like that. The Bullit Mustang, Vanishing Point's Challenget R/T... the list would be huge.
LOL I don't remember watching Dukes of Hazzard back in the day...musta been something better on another network during that same time slot?
Anyhow, is this Uncle Jesse's dent side, that was mentioned in some of those other threads? This has to be where I got the name for my truck.
