Hi everyone! My name is Stacy, I am from Lake Wales, FL (currently living in Wesley Chapel) and I am new to the forum. I have a 2002 F150 Lariat FX4 CrewCab with only 69,000 miles. I love this truck. I am probably more fond of it than others I have owned because I bought it at a salvage auction and fix it back up. It had a small engine fire but nothing major. It still ran and drove when I bought it. I spent about 4 months changing out the engine and transmission harness and just totally going through it. It is now back on the road and I parked my new Jeep Rubicon Unlimited and use the truck as my daily driver. I just really enjoy driving it.
In addition to the 2002 F100 I have 1966 F100 V8 automatic truck that belonged to my Uncle. He recently passed away and my Aunt is needing to clear out things as my Uncle was a bit of a hoarder. She was going to scrap the truck but I asked her to let me gather some information on the trucks of that era first. So I will be on here looking around and finding out a little more information about these trucks. I would attempt to restore this one but he left me a 1966 GMC truck that is in much better shape and I have a lot more memories with him in the GMC. The F100 truck is very rusty and has a 1970 bed on it but I believe it has some good original parts on it that someone may be able to use in their restoration. Although this is a special circumstance I still don't like to join sites and then immediately post a vehicle or parts for sale (I did read the rules about making 5 posts and listing in marketplace and everything).
If someone feels there is a better coarse for me to take with the truck please feel free to chime in. I just hate to see classics go to the scrap yard.
Welcome to FTE. As the rules state, 5 posts. So, check out the sections that relate to your trucks andask away. You can probably get a lot of good info that may help you sell the 66, or parts from it.
