I just realized that I am behind making on making a new thread.
I have been working my butt off at work. I put in a main wiring harness and then started working on installing a transmission in a 745 truck. My boss told me he has a excavator engine for me to start installing on Monday. I have almost 8 hours overtime this week.
I was sore yesterday, I guess I am out of shape by not working on big stuff for the past 2 years. I didn't get to do anything around the house yesterday because of the rain.
We are going to make wings tonight and watch the big game.
Hope Hugh and Adam are feeling better. I have been working 10 hr days and have to work this Saturday.
I was so sore the first couple of days, I have been using muscles I have not used in a while.
My wife showed me the video when I got home, it was bad. They had a 10 car wreck on 75 this morning in a downpour. People just don't slow down then the weather gets bad. Glad to hear you were not involved. Tomorrow and Saturday are all overtime.
I ended up with 8 1/2 hours over time so far and working tomorrow too. All the extra is going towards bills, I am loving it. Everything is going great, the boss loves my work and I don't have to have someone hold my hand.
No wintery stuff here but I sure am sick of the rain.
They drug their feet brining me back and now they are working the poop out of me. It's OK because the extra money is paying down bills and getting me that much closer to retirement.

snow and blizzards today.... might have a week off. havent had this much **** in 60 years
I guess we are lucky that we only have a chance of black ice this morning and that's it. Some ice on the steps and on the car. Leaving a little early so I can go at a slower pace.
Working my butt off at work but the overtime pay is going to be great.
My old John Deere boss and his wife came down with COVID.
ive been fortunate enough to not have lost power, but we got 8 inches where im at. Went into town today with the fiances awd grand cherokee with the ice opton capabilities, that was squrrly.
Work tried to make us go into today, boss ate his words quick.
They want us in tomorrow at 9am and I told my boss **** that, town is ****ed, and the storm coming in tonight is only going to make it worse.
Maybe ill go to work thursday. **** all this ****.
TGIF!! I have been working my butt off, all of today is overtime. I am not volunteering to work tomorrow but they might make me.
Glad to hear you didn't loose power. We dodged a bullet for sure, nothing but rain and a little ice here and there. Supposed to start warming up starting today.
So tired of winter and ready for some warm and sun. Started planning a trip back down to Florida in May.
5 people showed up to work on thursday, found busted pipes in the shop, sent my father in law to the hospital. Boss called work off, and then called it for friday too. I told him it was a bad idea
I saw on the news that busted pipes were really bad there. Glad you had power and no issues at your house.
I didn't go to work on Saturday, they didn't tell me and I didn't volunteer. I ended up with 22 hours of overtime for the past 2 weeks, going to be a nice paycheck on Thursday. I wouldn't mind two or three more months like that that.
I changed the transmission fluid and filter in the Mercedes yesterday. Wasn't too bad except for there is no fill tube, you have to level the car and then pump the new fluid in from the drain hole. I have to pull the water pump off the mom in-laws Caddy to change out the cam position sensor. I'll do that today and then the only thing left is to get the body work done.
The cam sensor broke apart when I tried to take it out of the engine, half of it is still stuck in the block. I bought a right angle drill and will get the rest of it out this weekend. Putting a plastic sensor in an engine was not a good idea.
Still working a 10hr shift and planning on working this Saturday. I get paid today for the prior 2 weeks. Interested to see if all that overtime was worth it or did I just get taxed a ton. I told my wife I don't like working on Saturdays but they also don't like to give overtime. I need to get it while the getting is good.
