The PA Chapter's "Better Days Ahead...We Hope..." January 2021 Chat and B/S Thread
Well, we made it through 2020. Maybe dragging our way, but, we made it. A new year will hopefully be an opportunity for us to turn the page, begin to recover, and move forward. There are a lot of other thoughts that I have in that arena, but, I'll save them as this isn't the place and time.
It's worth saying that there is still a little time to grab discounted tickets/passes to Carlisle events in 2021, including the Ford and Truck Nationals events. They run their holiday sale til January 4 at 5PM, and you can grab your chance to show or attend at the fairgrounds with a sweet 20% discount. Worth it for a guy like me that registers multiple trucks, especially. Yours truly is planning on being at both Ford and Truck, with....well,...we'll see about that...so if you show up there be sure to say hello. Hopefully, fingers and toes crossed, we start to see a return of various local events and car shows also. Not gonna lie, I really missed that this past year.
I don't really know what else I want to add or say, so, you know what to do.... do it.
Drove up to the lake house in Edinboro for the weekend. Lots of rain, but the roads were good. Took the kids to Presque Isle to see the new light display they started this year. It might be the most pathetic thing I have ever seen! My house easily had as many lights and definitely had more thought put into it.

What are they lighting at Presque Isle? A couple shower room and a snack bar or two?

That's pretty much it. All of their lights were simple strands on the bridges and buildings or small deer, snowmen, or other creatures that you could buy at Wal-Mart. They didn't set up any generators, so the lack of available power was definitely an issue. They had numerous corporate sponsors, so I expected some big displays or some generators.
Good Morning everyone. New year and new upgrades to order for the truck. Also finally got my stribog that was stuck in the mail for all of December. I was the 337 person to have a background check yesterday in 2021.
