Put new upper control arms on my 99 f150. Torqued the cam bolts at 110 ft-lbs and ball it's at 90. I found specs that say the upper limit is 76 on ball joints. Is that going to be an issue or should I back those off?
These are the torque specs from the FSM.
Cam bolts 84-112 ft. lbs.
Ball joint nut 57-76 ft. lbs.
So you're okay with the cam bolts and for the upper joint nut the damage is done, you've already stretched it. But if it were me I'd back the ball joint nut off and put it back on again just to relief any excess stress on it.
