I had my truck to the dealership for an a.b.s issue and suddenly created a coolant leak, the shop changed a valve for the coolant line somewhere. Anyway three weeks later I go back and now the mechanic said he was sure the head gaskets were leaking.. well is this a problem that 6.7 are known for I have only ever ran 7.3.. the mechanic never took all the air intake off and i dont know how he could have seen the top of the engine.. I have no white smoke and I dont overheat I'm getting ready to finish my egr delete this week its already been def and egr reprogrammed. Could the egr be leaking and look like as head gasket????
I once had a coolant leak into the valley on my 2012. It turned out to be the heater core hose. The heater core hose connects to the coolant hard lines just to the passenger side of the intake, above the valley. There are two O-Rings in the connector that had failed. I replaced the O-Rings and coolant leak was gone. It took me several days to track it down to that though. I checked the turbo coolant line first, but there was no leaks at those spots.
