I have a 2005 F-150 STX that I completed a Cummins 12 valve swap on. Everything mechanical seems to be functioning well. The electrical system is another story. Truck starts and runs no problem, but one by one, my electrical components keeps failing. I’ve tried Troubleshooting the bugs as they pop up, but I’m waving the white flag and really want to take it to a professional to look at the truck’s entire electrical system.
Just a summary of my issues:
Fuel gauge stopped reading (verified sending unit is good)
Radio/stereo/speakers stopped turning on last week
A/C compressor will not engage, not receiving signal
Then finally my alternator stopped charging my battery this week. Replaced both battery/alternator and checked the cables. Still only reads battery voltage with the truck running.
Any good shops in the Houston area that will work on an engine swapped vehicle like this??
