I haven't been online here much in a while, but happened to drop in and thought I would answer if you're still looking. For sales, I prefer the used car team at Covert Ford on 183, like any dealer you have to walk in prepared but they are fair about the negotiations and not pushy. They know me and I'll walk on any deal if it isn't what I really want but still have had a better experience there than anywhere else. I've known my salesman for 20+ years so if you want someone specific to ask for send me a direct message.

For service, I have NONE and will not use a dealership. For gas vehicle work, I like Dave's Ultimate Automotive (any of their locations around Austin), for Diesel I like Premier Auto and Diesel in Leander, Gary is a good guy and fair on work and prices but most importantly he fixes the one thing needed right and I don't have to keep going back. So many places just throw parts at a repair, which I can do, he actually does diagnostics.

I bought my f150 from Leif Johnson back in 2011. I had warranty and premium maintenance so I alway went to them. Then all that ran out time and miles. Every time I went in they had different service writers. That is a high turnover job. I have a gut feeling I got ripped off good on a repair. Can't prove it. To the tune of about $1K. I haven't been back. I started going to Dave Ultimate Automotive in Cedar Park being I live in Lago Vista now. Good work, Honest Quick repair. etc. They seem a little high for me. $149 for a diagnostic fee? !
Now I need another oil change and my water pump is leaking so I'm trying to decide where to get taken advantage of next. LOL. When I buy my next Ford most likely will use Covert Ford. That is if I buy another F150. Ram and GMC are both grabbing my attention. For different reasons. What we need is a FRG brand PU. Ford Ram GMC.

Small world, im in Lago too. Hate to hear that about Dave's Ultimate, his first location off Howard Ln was purchased from my uncle, it was just Ultimate Auto back then.

Check with Gary at premier auto in Leander, he does work on gas vehicles too! Its a small shop, basically detached 3 car next to his house but I take my larger diesel issues to him that I cant driveway fix and he has provided trustworthy and quality work, I'm stubborn and pretty involved with hired work. Aka, I'm a pain of a customer.

I also know Bobby that runs the quicklube at 183 and 1431, like any quick oil change place there have been little issues but they've made them right. If you just want the oil change done somewhere.

Would that quick lube be Express oil change? West of Bell at 1431? I have a coupon from them. They have good ratings.
You going to drive that Excursion till the wheels fall off as they say?
