2005 v10 will not stay running

So recently bought this gem. Running rough when I bought it and figured I could fix it, I was wrong.
so i will start with what has been done
*new plugs
* new starter
* throttle body
* cam shaft sensor
* injectors
* cut cat out
* fuel filter
So issue I'm having is I will throw random misfire codes on pass side
Cylinder 1 , 2, 4 truck will start sometimes and will idle at times but then die. Try restarting and truck will act like its locked up. Then get a few rotations from bumping the key and the try will turn over. I've found a male port on the throttle body spacer without a hose or a nipple. Put a nipple on it and runs decent but then will blow it out on a back fire and truck wont start which doesnt make sense because it's a vacuum.
fuel psi when running is between 38-40 so I assume that the fuel pump is good.
truck runs extremely rich
Hope some can help because this is starting to aggravate me
thank you

How many miles on engine do you think?

I'm wondering if you dropped a valve like my '08 did.

My first thought was vacuum or throttle body related then I read where you said you found a open nipple on the throttle body . It would be logical to think the problem would be in this area don't you think?

Which I have and nothing, I sprayed all the vacuum lines and ports with starter fluid to see if the motor would rev up and I got nothing

So when did the problem begin before or after the new throttle body and other work you mentioned?

I read sentence 1 of Post 1 as he bought it as a "spec" truck, thinking he could fix it; was purchased as-is

I chased a similar issue when my '08 dropped a valve, doing seemingly EVERYTHING from most to least likely, even gutting a kitty (as did OP), swapping MAF, fuel filter, checked fp, changed plugs and all coils, SeaFoam in tank and 10 other things I can't even remember....

Although that reminds me....OP, have you tried leaving the fuel filler cap open? Your year(s) sometimes suffered from pulling a weird vacuum on the tank and they would fall on their face

Did it sound funny when it dropped a valve? And everything you did I have done so far except new coil packs but I dont want to keep dumping money into it. And i just went to start it and started fine but then died. I have no clue wth is going on this truck is very weird.

It didn't really sound funny, but had a gentle shake at idle and the tach jumped a bit. On the highway you didn't know when cruising but could tell under load (underpowered) and I'd get flashing CEL

You just started it with fuel fill off?

I used to have the shake at idle but after replacing the injectors no more shake just hesitation now. And I have not tried the gas cover off yet

What else can I check

So I just tried it with the cap off and no difference. Truck is running extremely rich. Then will stall started it up again and started spraying engine starting fluid in the trottle body and truck would stay running if I kept squirting it. So sounds like a fuel issue but doesnt make sense if running rich (to much fuel) so I'm so lost I'm gonna burn this thing down (not really). I just feel this is something stupid maybe like a PC valve but I think this has 2 of them and I dont know how to tell if they are good or bad? And if they are bad what are my symptoms?

I'm not gonna be much help to you at this point - but can you keep it running by holding it above idle? I'm wondering about the new tb, but truly you should put a scanner on it and go back to the misfire codes and look at fuel trims

I hope someone else chimes in and please keep updating the thread.

So this truck is weird so when I first got it would not rev past 3k rpms and everything I would read would say that's how the ecm is programmed. So I stumble across a thread today about maf. So I unplugged mine and the truck runs good will stay idling(kinda strange).but any how I unplugged the Thottle body and the ias. Truck wouldnt run plug it back in and boom now will rev to 4k rpm and will idle but then over time will stall. So I think I'm on the right trail. I have the ould throttle body and I think I'm gonna try to install it to see if anything changes. But thank you for your input
