1984 F150 Engine swap and Carb to EFI questions ...
So, I have a 1984 F150 2wd with a blown up 302 and just picked up a donor Bronco that will be giving up all suspension and engine/trans to the F150.
I am trying to arm myself with all of the resources I can before I begin all this work...
the truck is stock (Carb 302) and I want to swap the whole 351W/AOD into the pickup AND retain the fuel injection... So does anyone have any resources for wiring or has someone done this type of swap and has a summarized version of wiring that needs to be pulled/swapped. I just don't want to have more wiring than needed and don't want to spend a month on sorting, plucking, cutting, etc.
I already plan to use the Bronco fuel tank and pump in the pickup, so the fuel system should be reasonably simple to conquer.
Any tips or resources would be much appreciated. Thanks !

If me I would take everything wiring and all from the bronco and install it in the f150.
I would think being from the seat backs forward would be the same you may need to make some wires to the fuel tank longer is all.

And the rear lighting wires. Should be easy to splice in the rear harness from the truck.
Now I did a full wiring & dash swap between my trucks because the good stuff also had AC that I wanted in my truck and then duel tanks.
Of note my truck is a 81 flare side short bed, the parts truck was also an 81 but was a style side long bed with duel tanks.
I felt it was easier to take everything from the good parts truck and swap into my truck and it was pretty easy to do also.
I pulled the main harness with the dash and with helping hands (wife) moved from 1 truck to table to do some finish work, repair & paint dash, then into my truck.
I took the long bed frame rail harness because of the duel tanks and will coil it up some place safe if to long.
Now the tail light harness that DaveF posted should inter change between the 2 trucks but I think I will be using the style side harness because my flare side harness has been hacked and don't know if the wires will reach the lights.
Being you would be using the Bronco wiring every thing should be plug n play and if anything goes wrong you just follow the book for the Bronco to fix it.
If you start pulling out unused wires from the Bronco or adding wires to the 150 I think is just asking for trouble and why the full Bronco harness.

You don't say what year the donor Bronco is but I'd be inclined to use the entire Bronco harness even though you will have stray/unused wiring left over.
A Bronco has one gas tank which you already said you want to use, you also say you want to use the "fuel injection" on it. OK, so plan on making the 84 a 1-tank system even if your truck is currently set up for 2 tanks.
The Bronco has a tailgate window up/down switch where the dual-tank trucks have a tank selector switch in the HVAC panel. Broncos also optionally have a rear window defroster + wiring, my brother's Bronco also has a factory trailer connector back there, both of which your donor Bronco may or may not have.
Gary has 1981, 85 and 86 EVTMs on his site, use whichever ones help you the most:
1981 EVTM - Gary's Garagemahal (the Bullnose bible)
1985 EVTM - Gary's Garagemahal (the Bullnose bible)
1986 EVTM - Gary's Garagemahal (the Bullnose bible)
If you can find an EVTM for the donor Bronco that you have, then you'd be golden.

Notice the titles in Gary's EVTM's in the links above say "pickups and Broncos" all in the same diagrams. That is how similar they are. If your Bronco is later than 86, you will find some differences though. And if it's later than 86, you are going to have problems getting your fuel gauge to work, they changed the way the gauges worked after 86, so a 87-up fuel sending/tank unit will not work with your earlier truck dash gauge. If you get up to a 1993 Bronco or later, more problems arise. They did not use a mechanical speedometer so if you use the later drivetrain as planned, it will not have a place to run your earlier cable speedometer. And they started using a PSOM module in the cluster for the speed sensor which your older truck doesn't have.

The Sending unit is not an issue you just use an 86 EFI sending unit, the sending units are the same except for the potentiometer for the fuel gauge.
As for wiring. See below line diagram. This should do for what ya need. if you have any questions feel free to ask.
