Aussie 1949 Ford Pickup Owner

I joined this forum to get answers to the many questions that I am encountering in the final stages of my 2 year restoration of my 1949 Ford Freighter which is a F1 but with RH Drive, I believe these were made in Canada and shipped to Australia. It has a modern drive train, 302 Windsor Motor hooked up to a Tremec T5 manual gearbox and a 345 Disk Brake Differential. All of these are out of a Australian EL Model Ford Falcon. The front suspension is made from a Mitsubishi L300 with EL Falcon Hobs & Stubs and Power Steering. The problem I am having is that I bought a Hood Bumper Kit which has 9 rubbers. I am ok with the location of 8 of the 9 rubbers. The largest Rubber with a bolt has bought me undone. I assume that as a single rubber it fits around the centre front of the hood. Can anyone help me with the location of this rubber on an F1 and I can adapt mine to fit as I think it protects the Hood (which we call a bonnet) from hitting the front panel

It sounds like you might be on the right track. The folks that know answers to this kind of thing often don't frequent the "New Member Introductions" forum. You should post your issue in the "1948 - 1956 F1, F100 & Larger F-Series Trucks" forum to get some answers flowing. Pictures would probably help.
