New Kid in SOCal
Hi All,
new guy here living in the Ventura, ca area.
I recently picked up a 2001 F250 Crew cab Short Bed 4x4 lariat with the v10 and 122k miles on the ODO.
It has always been in the SoCal area, fist sold in Orange County
It has the following factory options:
4.30 Posi Gears
1 ton rear leaf springs
fog lights
block heater
bed liner
It has the following aftermarket equipment added by the previous owners:
BAK flip bed cover
Husky interior liners
ProComp 17" rims with 3K miles on them.
Cooper Discover AT3 tires 33" with 3K miles on them.
2.5" Rough Country all spring leveling kit with the heavy duty track bar.
All new U joints.
Spark Plugs changed out at 100K by the dealer.
Hypertech tuner. I made a few minor adjustments with it for tire size and shift points.
In the short time I've had it, I've done the following:
New outer rear axle bearings and seals because I thought they were making noise. Winds up it's the tires.
New radio as the old one I could not read the display and it was not adjustable. Also added in a 10" sub with a built in amp.
Powerstop tow package brake kit. Love their brakes. I have them on my other truck.
Seller had given my a Y pipe so I had it installed.
P3 electric brake controller for towing.
So far I'm liking the truck and the room inside. I towed a trailer with 2 quads on it up to Reno Nv and back with no issues. Loaded her up with gear and went south into Baja for the Baja 500 race. And made a trip to San Diego for some work. Next big test is to tow a Toy hauler with our quads up to Pismo in a few weeks for some fun.
