tonneau cover
I want to put a tonneau cover on my stepside. I can't seem to find anyplace that just sells them. I would get one custom made, but I don't want to drill holes in my bed for the snaps they usually use. I would like to have one that when I take it off you can't tell it was ever on there. Anything like this available? Like the clamp on rails on newer trucks? Thanks!

Well, it's an 86 stepside. I know, wrong forum, but nobody seems to know anything about this. The truck has the old style bed with wood in the bottom and smooth sides inside the box (overhangs out, not in), however it's bigger than a shortbed from any 50's truck would be. (I think it's 6 3/4' long) I just figured someone here would have a better solution for a tonneau cover. Thanks.

Hmmm... You kind of have me stumped as too where to begin. I'm not sure as too how to mount one. I do know that my local truck cap place can custom make some. The hard part is how the the bed tops angle out. Man I'm stumped, maybe somebody else can shine some light on the subject. -4speed

*** has them that are attached with velcro under the lip of the rails. I believe bobsf100 has them too, but I could be wrong.
