taking gauges,speedometer out what is the best way????
Hello friends
I know im in the wrong forum,but It is hard to get a answer in the other one,can someone help me.
I have a 47 ford truck, and I want to take the one piece section out that holds all the gauges ,and speedometer, I think there is clamps on the back side to hold it on there,if i pull them off is there enough wire to pull that unit forward ,and disconnect everything from sitting on my seat. Or do I have to do everything up under the dash???
Any help with this I really would appreciate it !!!!!!!!

Bill, I wish I could help you out but I haven't attacked my dash yet in my restoration project. From what other folks have said though, I don't think you can plan on having enough wire to pull the gage cluster out and work on it from the seat. I think you're going to have to work from under the dash.
