Parts Interchangeability

Are the beds the same for a '53 and '56 F100? Is the grille the same on those two also? Is there an online site or other reference materials the show what parts from 53-56 are the same?

Bed: yes
Grille: each year, 53,54,55,56 had their own distinctive grille.

Hello here is a visual guide for the grilles.

Probably one of easiest ways to think about sheetmetal/body parts interchange is the 56' cab and doors is a one year run. You have small REAR window or the Big rear window option. The 53-55' cab is a three run and the doors and parts interchange for the most part. Front fenders, hoods, bumpers, beds, running boards, and such in most situations interchange. The cabs themselves is where most of your lack of interchange happens. I hope this helps. Get yourself a Mid 50s or LMC CATALOG online. They both have great illustrations.
