Have any of you installed an Air Ride seat suspension under your driver seat in a 2017+ Super Duty? I'm not wanting to replace the entire seat, but just get an air suspension under the existing seat, much like what you see on semis.

Would your head clear? I’ve only got 3” of head room!
I like the idea though... my truck feels like my tractor sometimes, minus the suspension seat!
Fantastic idea! I used to drive an F650 tow truck that had a air ride drivers seat. Of course there was a little more headroom. I bet you could take the air ride frame and attach your seat with minimal fabrication.

Yeah, my dually rides like an old tank sometimes, too.

I'm hoping someone has done this or knows of a company that makes conversion kits. My searches haven't turned up too much useful info yet.

Yes this is my problem as well no headroom!!! If it would fit what a magnificent idea!! With the wiring on my seat fan and heater plus the vents would be problematic but I would 100% be in if it would work cost no issue!
I searched the interwebs as well to see if this has been done and couldn't find anything either. I guess the first thing would be to find an air ride seat and measure the seat to see how high it sits.
Yeah, the full seat is very expensive and not what I'm looking for. Thanks for the link to the adapter kits - those are more in line of what I'm hoping to do. I'll call 'em next week for pricing and see if they're more reasonable. I agree with everyone who's mentioned headroom - that's the big concern for me too. I have the Lariat with 10-way seats and the driver side lowers pretty far.
Update: Got email back from Ryan at Superior Seats. He said they do have a low-profile seat base but it wouldn't fit the stock floor hole patterns on the new 2017+ AlumiDuties (won't fit aluminum bodies). I've asked a couple of followup questions to determine if it's something I can still move forward with. Will update this thread if it goes anywhere.

I wear a TALL crown cowboy hat and I am 6'2" and have the seat as high as it will go and I have at least a full hand (4") of clearance over the top of my hat...

John Deere has 2 suspension seats, mine is the spring model, the other $$$ is the air ride. The spring set works VERY well.
I would tell if you could adopt one, the easy route would the spring setup is my guess.
They're OK in a big truck, but for me they'd probably be too bouncy in my F250. I drive straight trucks with 20'+ boxes on them for a USPS contractor quite often so I've spent my share of time on an air ride seat. I guess I just don't see the attraction or it being worth the time and $$$ for a truck that I feel rides way better than the previous edition Super Duty.

Poncho, won't disagree on your view. That said, the best seat I have ever sat in was my F 350 '15 King Ranch that was world class. My F 350 '17/'19 King Ranch, well not so much...I understand it because of the massage function, well they can keep IMO.
2nd point! I am an old and OLD Infantry soldier, a good deal of my life was getting up in the morning, doing 15 mi in full combat gear, +/-152 lbs and getting to the mess hall by 0700 hrs for breakfast, then going to work. Toss in some injuries from my misspent youth in the '67 Rice Bowl, Hanoi Tech Vs Saigon U and I find the seat in my F 350 is about like wearing plywood underwear.
