Anyone seen this before or know what would be causing it? Looks like rock strikes, but the truck has only been on gravel once. Both sides have them pretty consistently around the edges.
This is a '19 450 with 7k miles on it.
It looks like the clear coat is coming off of them. I had to have my wheels replaced under warranty on my 2017 F-450 due to corrosion around the valve stems.
Looks like the clear coat is starting to delaminate. My 350 has the same problem around the valve stems, just haven't had time to deal with the dealer telling me they aren't going to cover it. Its a common issue on the F-350 DRW around the valve stems, I haven't seen the ALCOAs do this much.
Id take the truck to the dealer and have them replaced, should still be under warranty, assuming you didn't have the tires changed and give them a reason to deny it.
Definitely want to ask the dealer about it - just wanted to get a feel for if this was something common, or if I'm doing something dumb to cause it. (I'm almost sure I'm not - but hey)
I've only had it for a little over 6 months. Wheels haven't been off the truck, so no one has fussed with the tires at all.
I'll hit them up about it. I had a rust spot show up on my front bumper that I wasn't too pleased to see. Need to have them look at that, too.
Thats a little disheartening. I'm a little disappointed that a truck this expensive has rust on the bumper and the wheels are flaking apart before it hits a year old. I know Ford doesn't make the wheels.
I was thinking about getting mine in for an early oil change, and i'll have them look at this stuff. I *vaguely* remember them saying something about there being no warranty on the wheels. I guess if thats the case i'll just plasti-dip them.

I'm getting it seen by the dealer for a oil change and other warranty issues next week, so we'll see how thats goes.
The dealer told me when they took the pictures that they doubted it would be covered. I told them to send the pictures anyway. The next day I got the call confirming that they had ordered 2 new wheels and that they are covered under the warranty.
