Duplicate thread, originally posted in the engine forum and do not know how to move post from a forum to another? The truck has set for the past couple of months while installing clutch and components. The carb ran fine prior and it is less than a year old. Started up this a.m. and fuel started spilling out, what I believe to be the vent for the primary metering plate? I adjusted the float level but I am not sure it was necessary since it would seem to me the problem is possibly in the metering plate? Sprayed carb cleaner down the vent but did not solve the problem. In adjusting the float level I loosened the screw and rotated the adjustment nut clockwise?
Appreciate suggestions on possible solutions greatly appreciated! __________________
