Holy Cow--maybe 7 speed MT and a 2.7 EB!!!

I saw this post on Autoblog and other references on Road and Track. Ford may be developing a 7 speed MANUAL TRANS for the Bronco with Getrag, and put the 2.7 Ecoboost engine into it! This is really cool but I see a $40,000 plus price tag alongside this drivetrain...

Sad to say, $40k these days is average. Not that I can afford to pay that much, nor would I even if I could!

Agreed. $40,000 for a vehicle that in 5 years is worth half and also 3-4k in interest

The _option_ for a manual transmission is one of the things that I think could help this new Bronco make the same appeal that the original did, back when it was marketed as the Mustang for off roaders -- and making it a 7 speed would let Ford one-up the competition (literally and metaphorically).
