Hey guys, I've looked around quite a bit but I'm unable to get a definitive answer to my question. I've got a 1992 F150 XLT 4x4 with broken leaf springs on the rear (left and right). I want to replace them with 3/4 ton leaf springs. I've been looking at a local junkyard, but what specific F250 should I get the springs from? Here's what I know so far:
--The springs will have to come from a 4x4 F250
--The springs should be 3" wide
--They'll be a direct fit
--I want the 5 leaf setup to avoid jacking up the back end and having an ugly rake.
What I don't know is:
--What specific vehicle to get them off of
--More specifically, THE SPRING CODE on the F250 that will fit my F150 (the spring codes are different for obvious reasons).
Any help you guys could offer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
