We're going to be adding A/C to the '74 ASAP (South Florida...summer...'nuff said).
I'd like to see what y'all have done with some of the aftermarket options out there both for the interior mounting/choices and the mounting of the compressor.
It has the 302/PS/PB. I'm new-ish to the small block Ford motor, so I assume the current configuration is "normal": alternator on the passenger side belted by itself to the crank pulley first groove, PS pump on the driver's side belted with the waterpump and crank pulley second groove. The crank pulley does have an empty third groove (closest to the front). Where will the new Sanden compressor mount and will it require additional pulley changes? I don't want to change to a sepertine belt. i want to retain as much of the original setup as possible.
Check out nostalgic AC thats located in FL. They sell a semi-turn key kit for our trucks. I am in GA so I am in the same boat which is why I haven't really worked on my rig because of the heat.
