Newbie dives in, film at Eleven
I can get around under the hood OK.
I have a menagerie to tend to from a 86 Eagle bus with a Detroit 6v92 to my lovely bride's hemi so I don't scare easily. I'm kinda skeered now though.
Five grandkids and we decided to get a 5th wheel big enough for the brood. That means a truck up to the challenge. I'm too cheap to pay pre depreciation money so I have been hunting on the used market.
I think this is it. 2016 King Ranch F450 dually 90+ on the odo means it will get outside warranty soon. I think that's a good thing for someone that may do some modifications for strictly offroad purposes. Then again, the 6.7 is a lot of motor to leave in the hands of a swamp yankee.
Anyway, I been around the interwebs long enough to know that I'm preaching to the choir, but for those of you who are so inclined please opine what are some pros and cons from owner perspectives?
I am typing this as I drive my family in our new/used V10 dually to Myrtle Beach from Ohio.

Seeing this one coming I squirreled away about 10 bills for my offroad plans and to help the Fisher family put their kids through college. I have an old square body F250 for snow putting around the shack but I will be out of real estate to park stuff on when the dually arrives because the acreage up here is mostly vertical.
We unload a Chevy 4x and that venerable old F250 and that's almost enough room for the KR in the driveway. Mama parks her Chrysler in the winter so she gets what I consider a genuinely capable winter rig (as little as she goes out) and it sweeps the walk when snow falls and tows the clan around in summer.
After all, what could possibly go wrong?
