Howdy, my name is Scott.
I am known as mchnhed (machine head) here in North Hollywood.
I have a 1965 Econoline Five Window Pickup Truck.
All original 170 with a three on the tree. No duct tape or bailing wire fixes.
Needs some small body work, window gaskets and paint.
Originally a US Navy vehicle, painted blue, then a LA School District vehicle, painted school bus yellow.
Found it on Craigslist for $500 in the 80’s. Told the seller if it started up I would buy it.
Some starter fluid, some black smoke and it started and idled fine. Drove it home and then life got in the way and it has sat in my driveway for 25+ years. Sad.
I just picked up a 6-200, a 9” econoline rear end with 2-1/2” brakes.
Planning on a 240 radiator upgrade and a G3 alternator..
I would love an auto trans (C4 or a dream AOD) but.....$$$$$
