Idm relay no ground won’t run

Idm relay no ground won’t run
Okay guys I’ve got a e99 7.3 f550 that wouldn’t run until I added a secondary ground to the idm relay not it runs great. I’m mainly wanting to make sure I’m not gonna cause any other issues by doing this or if I’m just making up for something else being wrong.

That relay is grounded at pin 80 of the pcm connector. Perhaps a bad connection?
