Bore and stroke of a 1068-72 F350 CLUTCH M/C
Very simple question which I should have posted in this chapter.
Can anyone tell me what the bore and stroke of the hydraulic CLUTCH master cylinder is in a 1968-1972 Ford F350 w/ the 300 6 cylinder engine, NP435 transmission.
Apparently because of being R/H drive, we went hydraulic, Nth America used mechanical.
Any help appreciated,
Thanks Dave64
Master cylinder has the following:-"Wagner Lockheed
G--FE-32761-USA 1&1/8 Dia."
I was lucky enough to get hold of an original matching cylinder for the slave (1.00"), but don't have a part # for it at the moment.
This one I have here can be re-sleeved and a kit put through it.
I have been told by a bloke who gave me the M/C that the OZ built smaller F trucks went to an entirely different size master and slave when they started putting the Oz built 250, the same size as was used on Falcon cars. The larger F trucks,(this one came from an F700) continued using the LARGER versions up until 1975.
I can only go on what I was told.
Most clutch places can do a re-sleeve and put a kit through them, but to get a new one, like hens teeth. Couple of blokes can do service exchange, but you need an original core.
May help someone out!
Cheers, Dave64
