1999 350 steering issue

1999 350 steering issue
I have a 1999 350 SD 7.3 SRW Long Bed, 245K. I have been chasing down steering slop at dead center for some time now.
To date I have done the following:
I still have a loose spot in the center. I am thinking that it may be in my column as that is basically the only spot that has not been addressed.
Are there any replaceable parts in the column, or should I look at a complete column? Any advice on source for those parts?

- Red Head steering gear
- New spring bushings front and rear
- New Sway bar bushings front
- New track bar
- New tie rod ends
- New drag link end
- 1 new ball joint

There is always going to be a little loose or vague feeling. It is just the nature of a straight front axle 4x4 truck with a steering gear box.
Take 5 PSI out of your front tires and see how that feels to you.

It was not that way when I bought the truck with 100k on it. Definitely not "normal" but manageable. I would like to get it to "good".
