Has anyone installled the 30 inch LED lights that mount in the Grill of the 2011-2016 F250's
Hi all I bought the 30 inch LED light kit for the F250 that mounts in the grill and the directions are a bit vague to get the grill off the darn truck. I have a 2012 F250 XLT. I have the 4 bolts off the top of the grill off. Its getting to the clips on the bottom that I can't get to or figure out how many clips there are?
Any help would be appreciated.
Jim
I've been eyeing that system (dual row) for a year or so now, just can't convince myself to spend the $470 on it yet.
Post some pics when you get it installed.
Exactly why I made my own kit. RC's kit has you cut part of the grille to fit their bar and I didn't care for that either (along with the price).
The SBL bar has a lifetime guarantee and was well under $100 with the coupons they send out. I've bought quite a few items from SBL and have not had an issue yet.

I've thought about piecing together my own kit too. Couldn't be too terribly hard to do. Just haven't been motivated to do it yet. But this fall/winter when it gets dark sooner, and I'll be travelling dark rural roads more often now, I may get motivated for more light! LOL!
The SBL bar shows to be only 90W 8200 lumens and with a harness is about $125 shipped x 2 comes out around ~$250ish.
The RC bars are 150W 12000 Lumens. But you only get one for about ~$250ish.
I wonder how much noticeable appreciable light output difference there really is to the human eye.

It's probably brighter, it pulls more amps and wattage. But enough light for twice the price? Follow SBL on Facebook and they'll post a 20% off coupon eventually.
I used upfitter #3 for the bar to avoid needing the fuse and relay. Also, the SBL light only pulls 4.3A and two of them will fit on one 10A upfitter. IIRC, the RC pulls way more amps than that and I didn't want to use one of my bigger amperage switches for my light bar as I will have an air compressor on board soon enough for my airbags. To each their own, I guess.

Good info.
Can you post some pics of how you got it all installed without cutting the grille.
After looking at how much that black plastic piece is I'm not really wanting to cut it up in case I ever go back to stock.
