Slip Mahoney, Jughead and Archie looking for water pump pulleys
As I work through this puzzle, I keep thinking about what sort of jalopy I am going to wind up with.
I am now working on electrical and cooling systems [think the bullet was dodged on the dry block run, every mechanic I've talked to said no worries]
Well, of course I am scrounging around, as you can see by the 3 wire Mopar alternator [hey, if guys can put SBC's in flathead clothing, I can have an alternator] It was chosen for 3 reasons, 1. funky 2. double pulley 3. cheap and NOS.
Anyway, the water pump pulley hub matches the G engine pulley, but the belt groove in the pulley reminds me of leather football helmets. and it doesn't align with either alternator pulley nor the crank pulley.
I saw some WP pulleys on EBAY, but not sure if they are deep enough, and the bolt pattern is pretty big
1-3/4" side to side
2-1/2" across the WP shaft
The WP pulley is 3-1/4" deep
I think if I can find a WP pulley with the same bolt spacing and anywhere from 2-1/2" to 3" deep I can make it work.
I have a feeling that the WP hub is for an H truck, and then I have to find an H truck WP pulley
If anyone has suggestions, I am all ears...

It looks to me like you have a car crank pulley and a truck water pump pulley. The car water pump pulley for the six in 1950 and 1951 is narrow belt. I think the part number is 0HA 8509-A. According to this website Dennis Carpenter has a couple. I have had mixed luck trying buying NOS from that business (sometimes they say they don't have the part).
I have often wondered why more folks don't use the Mopar alternator. It is finned aluminum, compact, and a lot less ugly than the ubiquitous delco one wire.

the shell game
and
I have a wide belt pulley(off of a G) but a narrow belt crank pulley on the '49 H.
and
a car pulley from Dennis Carpenter, that will work with my crank pulley, but will only work with a short pump hub!!??
The hub replacement, as you may know, is a press fit.
I also have
a sweet MOPAR alternator with a double narrow belt pulley
a very nice 6volt generator with a wide belt double pulley
and no low pump hub...
isn't this called a scavenger hunt?

You seem to have a Car crank pulley with narrow belt sheave, and an alternator that uses narrow belts. The outliers are the Truck water pump and Truck pulley, made for wide belts. Car water pumps and pulleys are likely easier to find than a Truck crank pulley and retrofitting the alternator to wide pulley. I believe Car and Truck water pumps also have different outlets, so you need to decide what this is going to go into, and convert as appropriate.

You can't assume the prefix 0HA and tack on the 8567. The 8567 not showing in the parts catalogs (for trucks it would be a 7H prefix) means it wasn't available separately by '56, when the CD-based catalogs were updated. I don't doubt there was little demand for just the hubs.
