Hey guys, thought I posted pics of this earlier. It's a project that I'm helping my friend do. It's his birthyear 1946 Ford Truck 1/2 ton. Dropped the engine a year and a half ago and took a break and finally got back on it this week.
We did an explorer 8.8" with disk brakes, 3.73's, and limited slip. Trans is an E4od. Engine is from a wrecked 93-95 Lightning 5.8L. We rebuilt the front straight axle and did the speedway disk brake kit as well. Can't wait to get her fired up EFI style! More pics to come.
Thanks guys! The owner is a die hard chevy guy with many very sweet rare chevy's that haven't been finished, complete resto's (not running yet). I'm talking about 10 year projects and such.
His welder friend spun the flange so it would clear the frame with the Lightning headers.
I tried to talk him into a line lock but not at this time. Wait til he can roast the tires unlike all of his non running 10 year chevy projects. Then we'll convert him.
So sad that I couldn't use a FL-1A but this shorter filter is required for clearance, heh.
Here's the donor parts truck. For me doing the work I also got a free roller 351 F4TE engine from the deal. It's going in a white 95 Cobra that I have.
