Hey everyone, so I just got my wife's grandpa's 1947 Panel. He is unsure if it is a Merc (hood has Merc badges). As it sits right now, the body is off the frame, a 400 married to a turbo 400 with a ford 9in rear end. The body is in pretty darn good condition as it was in the gramp's house for 30 years (Yes inside his house!) The body just needs some light sanding and shes ready for paint...if I ever do that haha.
Anyone know of a good credible bolt on IFS kits for these original frame? My frame is in too goooood of condition, was sand blasted and powder coated many moons ago.
I will post some pictures after I pick up my oldest from school.
I am very excited to start this job!
I'll get some of the body hopefully tomorrow once I bring the rest home (currently on the frame for the 47 ford pickup). Also I'll take a few more of the chassis
For now I will be using this engine and eventually putting it in my 88 Ram. I would love to have a BBF but I'm Newish to BBF, (grew up in a dodge family)
Haha, it will eventually have a ford heart again. But this 400 is completely rebuilt by old time hot roders, the gramps has built many many many hot rods over the years and now he's passing it on to me!
