*Banjo Steering Wheel Needed*
Need a little help guys. The pics show my current 17" steering wheel in my 37 Ford pickup. I don't think it is original. I was going to get a new leather steering wheel cover to match the new interior but the seat is now a little higher and a little closer to the steering wheel. I'd like to put a 15" or 16" in to give me a little more room. Not really sure what is needed. If I take the nut off is it a spline shaft that the steering wheel fits over? How do I know what to buy?

I think that you have the original pickup steering wheel. You could buy a steering wheel adapter and then buy a custom banjo steering wheel.

The stock steering wheel typically can be replaced with any 36-39 banjo wheel. Be aware that the odd plate in the middle of the wheel is in place of the light switch / horn button that was in the truck when it left the factory.
