so i was given a pair of Mickey Thompson sportsman pros, they are 29x12.50r15s i plan on using an 8" wide wheel, i'm pretty sure they will fit, back spacing on wheels might be what i need the most help with.
Wheels diameter might be an issue. Not sure if 15 is too small or not. My 16s seem to be cutting it close, but I have never tried 15s. Also, what is the backspace of your wheels? I am currently running into clearance issues with my 4.5" backspace 16" wheels on my 73 F250 4x4. I am in the process of adding 1/4" spacers and longer wheel studs to get them to clear the tie rods.
its an F100 2wd, and the tires are for the back only, as for wheel diameter 15" was stock. i'm not worried with how tall they are so much as width, as for the backspaceing is kinda up for grabs at them moment as i don't have wheels for which the tires would fit on at the moment.
12.50 on an 8" wheel is pushing it. I run 35x12.50 mud tires on my 8" wheels but a lower profile tire may balloon on the narrower wheel. I would look for 10" wheels.

I second the 10" wheel for that shorter tire. I also run 35x12.5 on an 8" but would be hesitant about doing so with 29x12.5.
I was thinking about getting the stock looking steel wheels from wheel vintiques, they have one in a 10" with a 4.5 backspaceing, but i'm gonna try and measure out to see what i need.
