56 F100 rear leaf spring removal

My 56 has a Dana 60 rear axle which a Previous Owner installed over the leaf springs in an attempt to lower the truck. No C section done either. Well he never got around to lowering the front, so he installed a pair of air shocks, to raise the rear end of the truck back level. The problem is I am getting fed up with this arrangement because the Dana 60 is about an inch wider, so the rear tires will rub on the fenders when the air shocks start to get low. And it takes a pretty decent compressor to blow them up again, like one in a tire install shop. Which I do not have. Time to make it right. In looking at what it will take to do the job, it looks to me that the front rear spring pins may not come all the way out, unless I remove the box. Is this true? Or if I remove the grease zerk in the center of the spring pin, will there just be enough room to pound them out from the inside of the frame to get them far enough to then be able to pull them out from the outside of the frame next to the inner side of the fender?

Thanks for your advice and ideas!

Yes, drive them from inside towards outside. No need to remove the box.
