Looking at aftermarket front bumpers and plan to sell the OEM bumper. If I quickly add up pieces on fordparts the assembly is $1500. I don't see much on ebay or CL so think it would sell quickly. Complete chrome Lariat bumper with no dings, what's it worth?
For those that have upgraded/sold your bumper, what did you get for it?
Probably better market for a front than a rear as the fronts aren't taken off by a retro-fitter. That being said I paid 300$CDN for a rear bumper and in pieces it's probably worth 1500$+.
If you have the room to store it then just put it on CL at a high price and sit and wait for someone to smash into something
I see them on CL for $250-350 pretty regularly down here. But prices seem to be all over the board as well. Currently from $250-650 here for chrome front bumpers with brackets and air dam.
Thanks for the feedback. Looks like I can offset the cost of a aftermarket bumper more than I thought. I can tell the house manager that a new one is almost free!
I sold two chrome ones last fall, for break even.. bought for $200, sold for $200.. I had them for a couple years.
I also bought a king ranch front for $250, and sold the scratched one from my truck for $200. (repair of scratches was estimated at $800, cause they are powder coated, not painted, so I made out on the deal.)
