1999 F550 7.3 40' Bucket Truck w/ PTO with issues

We just had the PTO rebuilt and replaced. Since then when you turn the PTO on to use the bucket part of the truck works fine. Once you turn off the PTO to move the truck and reposition it. The PTO woun't start and you have to drive the truck 2 miles and then the PTO will start. Not sure if it has to do with the Ford Computer or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to FTE.

You say you just "had" this work done. Who did the work and do they stand by the work? That would be the first place to go imo.

What type of PTO? (Muncie, Chelsea, etc)

Also, what aerial is mounted on your truck.
