I can finally buy my dream truck which is a used f250/350 crew cab king ranch diesel. This is my first diesel I would ever own and I would appreciate some advice. I am looking at one now that is a 2014 and has 66k on it. What are some common issues I should know about or look out for during the test drive? Any common sounds? Also when I crawl under it are there any particular leaks I should watch out for? I read that the 2015 is supposed to be a more powerful and better built engine. Unfortunately I think this is going to be way more then I can spend. That being said is it something that I should absolutely hold off and wait for a 2015? I dont tow hardly at all. Nothing over 5k pounds.
I hope to be one this forum a lot more.
Thanks so much!!
Justin
I would spend time in the 6.7 forums to learn about that motor. In the used modern diesel market, I advise finding one with the factory 5yr/100k motor warranty still in place, which you have. This way if you find something wrong after driving it awhile it will be covered.
