I'm looking for a new project, and have been hearing about a place near Ft. Smith. Ar. that SUPPOSEDLY has a couple thousand cars on a farm..Anyone out that way ever hear of such a place ??...thanks..JV..
I'm doing all I can to find it. I think it's a real place..My buddy from Indiana wants to come down if I find it..We will get together..Found a possible project...a yellow Seville in Phoenix..."Better to ask forgiveness than beg for permission..At least that what I'll try on my wife !!!
As an Arizonan, I know this place well. It is Desert Valley Auto Parts. It is a 40 acre complex of the most diverse rust free and good chrome handling in the nation. They do sell entire vehicles as well as parts. They have two locations. One in North Phoenix and one in Casa Grande. I have heard of another one in AZ. but it was a private collection and not open to the public. I do not remember where it was. go to DVAP.com.
I know about Desert Valley. This is supposed to be farm in Oklahoma, that the elderly owner has been putting together for years...I did find a place in Arkansas..actually 2 places..One with 400 cars..and another that we are going to see shortly with about 700 cars...These are for sure. I've been to one..and my friend has been to the other...It is supposed to be within an hours drive of Ft. Smith ???
Oh, I do recall the Oliver Jordan collection, but those were mostly pre war vehicles and are all gone now. The other was the Lambrecht Chevrolet dealer. He would put the cars he did not sell that year in his warehouse. Those are gone too. That is all I remember from Oklahoma.
