Hello,
Has any one took out the bench seat and put in bucket seats in a 63 uni?Was wondering how it worked with clearance to the pedals and steering column.Have a set out of a 90 ford truck that I could use.Seen some pictures of trucks that had buckets and did not look bad. Thanks All
These trucks had a factory ranger option starting in 65 I believe. That used mustang bucket seats in place of the bench seat. Also came with a center console. A member here reproduces the bucket seat brackets that will allow the mustang seats to bolt right in. As for the 90's ford seats that's another story. You will need to fabricate some seat brackets or make the stock bucket seat tracks work. Main thing is not to get to bulky of a seat or you will have height and leg room issues.

Depends on the look your going for, later model seats will not look period and will be a hack and mod job. IMO, go for some period falcon looking bucket seats. '64's with straight axles came with mustang style ( first year, very rare though), '63's had the same high floor.
