I'm back! Its been 6 years since I have been on FTE.
It has been 6 years since visiting FTE.
The wealth of info helped me build my 65 f100, which I went and sold to a guy who took it to France.
Pics of her are attached.
Well now I have bought another one, a 66 f100.
Rebuilt 352 with a C6 trans.
The rest of her is really rough.
Going to need some help on this one, mostly electrical.
I will post questions as I dive into.
Best,
Aaron
All the parts and pieces are there, just rough.
The grill is in really nice shape though.
The previous jackass butchered the floor fitting for some POS shifter for the C6, I will need to cut and weld the cab floor and probably go with a Lokar shifter.
Supposedly the engine was rebuilt 6000 miles ago, no receipts though.
She does run really good, smooth and quiet, so thats promising.
I have pulled off the valve covers and the rocker assemblies are clean and valve springs are new.
I will pull the pan, remove a crank bearing cap, see how those check out.
Also will be removing the timing cover to inspect as well.
I have attached a few images of some electrical issues. I have three schematics and they are close but some colors are off.
Basically the ignition switch, what wires go where?
Terminals are: St (center terminal)
BAT
ACC
ING
Three different wiring diagrams all have conflicting info on what wires go where.
I also attached a pic of the voltage regulator.
Again the wires that go to it are not jiving up with the wiring schematics.
If any one has insight, that would be huge.
Thanks,
Aaron
