New Member from Calgary, Alberta
Just picked up my new truck today, a 2015 F-250 Super Duty in XLT trim with 6.2L gas. This truck replaces a 1997 Chev 2500 regular cab that I have, which was a good truck but with a family it was time to move on.
I've been looking for a truck for a long while now, one year ago I was at a Ford dealership at Christmas with papers in front of me to purchase new but left the deal on the table. Spent the year looking for the right truck, see if I could find the right used one, gas vs diesel, etc. Most found were medium to high mileage with premium asking prices. So back to the dealership and got a better deal than the one penned last year on a truck with more options. The only option I wanted but couldn't find was 4.30 gears, every other option I wanted I found in one truck. The rebates on the remaining 2015's were decent enough to act on so today was delivery day.
This truck definitely takes up more real estate than my out going 1997 Chev 2500. Way more comfortable & optioned considering the Chev was a basic truck, roll up windows, no ac, etc.
Went with gas over diesel as I won't be pulling heavy loads all the time. So now it's time to spray in a box liner, place the Weather Tech mats on the floor and spend some time with it before doing more.
Future things (may) include a hood deflector, maybe side window visors, cat back exhaust and reading up on engine tuning/programmers like 5 Star.
This is my return to Ford.
