Hello everyone. I'm a new registered user but have been 'lurking' on the forum for years. I got my first EX 10 years ago and since then sold the first, regretted it, bought another and sold it, soon after hated myself for it and recently found my current, and hopefully last EX. A one owner, rust free 7.3L. I've gotten a ton of advice and mod tips from the site so thank you to all. I take a yearly trip to the Midwest and ran into some trouble with a fuel leak about a week ago. I don't know if I'm able to share business names on the forum, I assume I can, but I was referred to a great diesel specialist in the south suburbs of Chicago. The fuel filter leak was taken care of, got an oil and filter change, and I got some great tips on what to look for in the future, my truck has 190k. This guy owns two excursions, a gasser and 7.3L, and a 7.3L dually. He says he works on these, and 6.0's constantly, does everything but transmissions. Anyways while I was in his shop he was even able to reprogram my door codes for me. Not a huge thing but a minor luxury I now have. Anyways, great to finally get on as a member.
